The Exiled: 149 ABY
The year is 149 ABY. The New Galactic Empire has held power over the Federation Triumvirate for just over two years. For all intents and purposes, it holds absolute power, only contested by the schisming Alliance - led by Mariasiah Fel and Gar Stazi. The Jedi Order, led by K’Kruhk, has all but broken away, somewhat at odds with the Alliance leadership, and further at odds with the Jedi Order Empress Volshe houses beneath her banner. The Neutrality Pact has all but dissolved, the Empire swallowing the majority, offering stability to the worlds contained within.
The New Galactic Empire operates in the majority of the known Galaxy, now, with Imperial Knights and Inquisitorius alike, Volshe’s vision to allow the Jedi and Sith to exist in some form of discordant harmony - a task that threatens to fail, now that the Jedi have taken their own place on the Galactic stage. There is an enormous rift that has formed, friendships lost, betrayal commonplace, and the Jedi philosophy tarnished.
The new Council, in its infancy, has gone so far as to accuse the Imperial-aligned Jedi as lost. Exiled. There are even rumours that the Empress, so benevolent in her rule, has allowed the Sith to exist as she herself is one. That the Jedi may face a purge, that she has tempted them into her lair with false assurances.
But this game is not merely centred around these sorts of scandalous Galactic politics, though they may affect any player characters.
There is a crisis on Naboo, just as there is a different sort of crisis between the Jedi and Alliance. While those who honour the Republic are wrapped in schemes and diplomacy, the Empire faces what seems to be a violent neurological disease. The first victim was an officer named Aira, who was found in a corridor screaming, not remembering who she was.
Now there are reports spanning the surface of Naboo, even reaching to Enarc and Karlinus. The first report has arrived from Corellia and Hutt Space. Amnesia, hallucinations, fever - the symptoms all follow a similar pattern. It could perhaps be declared a pandemic, but the Empire has not wished to make such publicly known.
Perhaps this crisis will remain isolated to Imperial-allied worlds...but it is unlikely.
Members of the Triumvirate, Imperials and citizens of the Galaxy, Force-users of any Order. There is chaos afoot, and survival depends on you.

Factions
The New Galactic Empire (NGE):
(Allied with the Febrayasi, also splintered versions of the Acolytes of Darkness, One Sith, and Jedi, forming the Imperial Knights and Lords of Shadow - known as Shadow Guards)
Upon Krayt’s defeat, this opportunistic band of magocratic, Galactic Empire purists established themselves, rising from the Unknown Regions to fill the growing vacuum with astounding speed. They adopted many aspects of the Fel Empire, fusing it into a ruthless authoritarian regime that commanded both respect and great power. They believe in Order, Justice, and Peace above all else.
Many have led the faction as its ideologies continued to garner support from worlds spanning the Galaxy, eventually resulting in it reaching the zenith of the current clime - the ruling party, the office of Supreme Chancellor...absolute power seems inevitable.
They are currently led by the Empress Volshe, a mysterious and oddly benevolent woman who rose to power upon the death of the former Emperor Sinreb Irth in the Senate bombings.
The Alliance to Preserve the Republic (Rebellion):
(Allied with the Jedi factions the Guardians of Light and the New Jedi Trials)
Led currently by Mariasiah Fel and Gar Stazi.
The Republic has always stood as a beacon of freedom and democracy throughout the Galaxy. However, it is a constant struggle to maintain the proper balance between maintaining order in a galaxy fractured by disparate interests, and the freedom of its citizens. To them, there are always those who would trample on the free rights of sentients; who would bring Order to the galaxy at the cost of democracy.
It is their mission, their duty, to stand against those forces of darkness. To ensure that oppression never again rules over freedom. Now they stand at the ready to face the threats to the Galactic citizens and their freedom, to restore the Republic in all its Glory...and they are prepared for whatever it may take.
The Jedi Order
(Allied somewhat with the Alliance, other Jedi factions - barring the NGE Jedi Order)
Led by K’Kruhk, currrently.
Long have the Jedi served the Galaxy as sentinels of peace and equality. Now, they have broken free from the bonds of the political and began as another Order, separate from the bureaucratic. The Order is intended to reclaim the history and the true nature of the Jedi. Ones who will not stand by during times of darkness, bickering, and ones who will not let Sith or those who abuse the Force exist in any great number.
Their mission is to rise again to prominence, to the esteemed position the Jedi Order once held as allies to the Republic, and to shift the tides of the Force from Empress Volshe’s definition of balance to true balance. A Galaxy bathed in Light, not warring between Light and Dark.
The New Sith Order
(Allied with the Dominion of Darkness, and rogue Sith)
The remnants of Krayt's New Sith Order, left scattered across the Outer Rim Territories, have received an influx of support from Sith emerging from a dominion of darkness within the Unknown Regions. Ostensibly led by the mad Darth Malkuth and savage Darth Nihl, it is said they are merely the puppets of a mysterious benefactor who desires to reshape the One Sith into a philosophically purer fiefdom.
The True Sith (Unplayable, GM Faction)
Descendants of an ancient Sith Empire that coasted the stars before antiquity, the True Sith fled the calamitous collapse of their Infinite Empire into the Unknown Regions nearly 30,000 years ago, abandoning their brethren on Korriban. But their immortal rulers have endured, and Darth Dreadwar the Magnificent, Emperor of Zakuul and Dark Lord of the Sith, is leading inroads into known space for the first time in millennia.
Other Factions are welcome, with explicit prior approval.
