History
The jungle of Nilrebmah XIII, 13,000 BBY
Nilrebmah XIII was the thirteenth planet of the Nilrebmah system, and a binary planet with the larger Nilrebmah XII, orbiting each other while orbiting the system's star, the red dwarf Primus Nilreb. The Nilrebmah system was rich with evolved life, and Nilrebmah XIII was no exception, dominated by gargantuan forests, grassy plains, arid wilderness and a large ocean, teeming with large reptillians and birds. Circa 13,000 BBY, Nilrebmah XIII was colonised by an interplanetary civilisation that had arisen on the moons of Nilrebmah II after a vast sleeper ship crashed on its surface, spawning a medieval human society which flourished and slowly advanced over thousands of years. In one of the forest towns, in the duchy of Nilrebora, Ku'ar Danar was born to a peasant woman.
The Valley of Nilrebora, 7,050 BBY.
Ku'ar Danar, having left the world in a visiting Jal Shey ship, returned as the Sith Lord Darth Dreadwar circa 7,000 BBY and conquered the inhabited worlds of the Nilrebmah system. Transplanting the vast population of Nilrebmah II and its colonies to Nilrebmah XIII, Dreadwar bade his enslaved subjects build a vast Monolith using a silicon-based hive-mind of Force-sensitive stones from Nilrebmah X, known as Nihil smokestone, or Meltmassif. Upon completing the Monolith, Darth Dreadwar performed a radical ritual of his own devising.
Draining the entire planet of life, Dreadwar shed his physical form and became an entity of deific power, and with the Force alone, moved Nilrebmah XIII. Yet his intent, to become a free spirit connected to a mobile world with all its life a wellspring to his power, failed him thanks to the intervention of the Jedi armies besieging Nilrebmah, and Dreadwar was bound and entrapped to his Monolith. Nilrebmah, shifted from its orbit, became a moon of Nilrebmah XII, and its jungle grew tall as if fleeing the mineralised surface and its toxic energy, forming a shell around the entire world. The Force itself was ripped from Nilrebmah, leaving an insanity-inducing void known as a wound in the Force.
In 3,997 BBY, the Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma, corrupted Jedi Dace Vinagar and a band of adventurers from the future met in a confluence of fate on Nilrebmah XIII, freeing Darth Dreadwar from spiritual imprisonment. Cursing Dreadwar as the ancient Sith Lord began to devour him, Vinagar's anger fed the rite which freed the Sith god, the arcane technology of the Monolith transforming Vinagar into a hydra of pure energy. Dreadwar's interrupted ritual resuming, the planet began to collapse as it fell towards Nilrebmah XII. As the planets collided in a glancing blow, Dreadwar's ritual completed in full, casting Nilrebmah XIII into hyperspace and flinging it over four thousand years into the future, at the expense of triggering a supernova which destroyed the entire system.
Gaping wounds torn in the crust by the collision, Nilrebmah was left a dead, shattered world of unnatural gravity and alien geometry, its forests stripped away in favour of a surface of blasted black sands ravaged by howling cosmic winds, marked by deep rifts, gorges, floating mountains and asteroids, and covered in mountains of crumbled ruins. Its oceans were boiled away, Nilrebmah's continents becoming like icy plateaus sprouting from a cloudsea of toxic gases and utter darkness.
Tornadic storms ravage the eternally dark surface of Nilrebmah XIII.
Attaching planetary hyperdrives to the world, Dreadwar settled Nilrebmah first within the Taspan system of the Mid Rim, before moving it again to the Klasse Ephemora system in orbit of the gas giant Mobus, deep within the Unknown Regions, where the world was repopulated by millions of refugees from Relus and the Byss system following the destruction of Byss, lured to Nilrebmah by Dreadwar for the purpose of fueling his power. During this time, Nilrebmah was known variously as Indix or Mobus.
After Nilrebmah was discovered and attacked by the Acolytes of Darkness in the Battle of Mobus of 145 ABY, Dreadwar relocated the world to the Nihil Retreat, the twelve interstellar clusters ruled by the Sorcerers of Rhand veiled by the scarlet energy of the Perann Nebula, in orbit of the black hole known as the Gunninga Gap. It was here that Dreadwar had begun projects of cosmic engineering, using the Star Forge leashed to the singularity to create space habitats including Worldcraft and skyhooks around Nilrebmah.

Fauna
The eternal night of Nilrebmah is prowled by several reptillian and avian species, including dinosaurs, pterodactyls and large terrestrial birds called terror-cranes, which, through Sith alchemy, have adapted to the eternal cold and darkness. However, the planet is otherwise barren and lifeless, its native fauna and flora scoured clean. A silicon-based species of Force-sensitive stone, known variously as Meltmassif or Nihil smokestone, is interlaced throughout the planet's surface.
Sithspawn have also been imported to the world, including Tuk'ata, which roam in great numbers on the icy plateau that were previously Nilrebmah's continents. Terentatek have burrowed into the depths of the planet's caverns, escaping the freezing surface to seek warmth from subterranean magma chambers. The Underdark is roamed by packs of Rakghouls and Sith zombies, the remnants of the system's population which were sacrificed to Dreadwar's ritual, now reanimated with a hunger for the flesh of the living.
The Upper World
The Upper World refers to the vast, cracked plateaus that were previously Nilrebmah's continents. They are dark from Nilrebmah's perpetual night, but receive starlight due to the thin atmosphere. Far from the volcanic rifts that still provide the barest warmth to the dead planet, the Upper World is frozen, covered in feet of snow and ice, and blasted by howling, bitter winds that carry the mournful whispers of the dead. Mountain ranges, valleys and spires of obsidian dominate the plains of the Upper World.
The Dread City
Nilrebmah is a lifeless world of ruin. The Dread City of Indix is the sole exception. Nestled in the Abaddon Mountains, situated upon the precipice that is the edge and end of the Upper World, overseeing the vast, impenetrable dark chasm that is the Lower World, the Dread City is the capital of Nilrebmah, inhabited by over a million slaves who toil in the Force Cores, a bottomless reservoir of dark side energy which permeates the entire city and is used to power the infernal technology of the Monolith, near which the Dread City is built. Evil taskmasters and abhorrent warriors roam the labyrinthine streets, overseeing the slave population from black pyramids and temples connected through a network of bridges and passageways.
The Monolith
The Monolith is the tomb of Darth Dreadwar. Raised seven thousand years ago, formed purely of Nihil smokestone, the Monolith is a focal point for dark side energies that was forged for the sole purpose of binding Dreadwar's spirit to the planet. Its vast spire of spectral energy is fed by the suffering and life energy of the slaves below.
