The year - 7 ABY.
Palpatine's Empire has fallen after the successes of the Rebellion. After being shattered and challenged by the growing "New Republic" fleet, the Imperials have taken a stand. Three years prior, under the Emperor Sistros, the Empire was brought together bearing a new name: the New Galactic Empire. The fleets were organised, the military and crumbling branches built to their former glory. It was an era of hope for every Imperial. An era of rebirth. Despite the flaws of Palpatine's Empire, the Galaxy had been safe. Order, peace, equality, and prosperity had filled the Galaxy.
Many Emperors served in these times. Treaties were signed and unions made. Yet in the most recent election, the esteemed Emperor Sinre was gravely injured in a terrorist attack upon the Senate. The Imperials are determined that it was the fault of the Rebellion. Now, Empress Volshe has taken hold of the Galaxy and has vowed to bring it back to order and prosperity. To end the suffering and tension, to let the citizens live their lives without fear. The Alliance has vowed to bring it back to democracy, no matter the cost.
The New Republic has already launched offensives to take Imperial Centre and almost all of the Imperial worlds throughout the years. They failed, but with the dissolution of the Senate and the New Galactic Empire taking control of the Galaxy as Palpatine once did...they are determined to put an end to the government they deem "tyrannical". They refuse to take the blame for the terrorist attacks that left so many Imperials dead and injured. They refuse to bend to the Empress' will. They refuse to live under Imperial rule.
Despite the hope, despite the rebirth, there is no peace.
The Galaxy is yet again on the brink of war.
The Empire must survive. Peace, justice, and order must be preserved. The Galaxy and its citizens depend on it.
